Shelby Vigil joined Watkins Insurance Group in January 2023 and has rapidly become a trusted personal lines insurance expert, specializing in affluent and high net worth clients. She holds the Chartered Private Risk & Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) designation and earned her bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication from the University of Texas at Austin, a combination that allows her to translate complex insurance concepts into clear, client-friendly guidance. Her previous experience in nonprofit program management and leadership development has strengthened her ability to build trust quickly and connect with clients on a deeper level, ensuring their needs are met with both professionalism and empathy.
Her approach to client service is rooted in education and clarity. She believes in empowering clients with a strong understanding of their coverages so they can make confident, well-considered insurance decisions. In 2025, she was selected as a Chubb Rising Star, a highly selective, nomination-based program that pairs 40 high-potential agents from across North America with Chubb leaders to collaborate on growth initiatives. This recognition reflects her commitment to staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes, and to delivering practical, informed guidance. Her most fulfilling work comes from giving clients peace of mind, knowing they are protected and supported at every stage of their insurance journey.
Beyond her professional role, she is an active community member, contributing her time and skills to The Junior League of Austin and other nonprofit organizations. Her deep roots in Schertz, TX, and her long-standing residence in Austin reflect her strong connection to the community she serves. Outside work, she leads an active lifestyle, often hiking the greenbelt with her beloved yellow lab, Maisy, or participating in challenging triathlons, including three half Ironmans. Her multifaceted personality is reflected in her passion for UT football, volunteering, and enjoying concerts with friends and family.
